Valencia Alvarez

Valencia is originally from Yucaipa, CA and received her Bachelor’s in Biology and Latin American Studies from Grinnell College. Her interests focus on immigrant health and immigrant rights both within the U.S. and globally. She has worked for various migrant support organizations including Al Otro Lado and taught English as an English Teaching Assistant in Mexico. Currently, she is involved in leadership roles on campus including for Mi Gente and Global Health at Brown.
