Fatema Farahmand holds a bachelor degree of Psychology from Kabul University. She worked as a trainer at the National Democratic Institute in Afghanistan for a year and worked as a team leader at the UN Habitat for the Afghanistan Urban Peacebuilding Program in Bamiyan for 4 years where she worked directly with local people. She has been living in Turkey since 2018. From 2019 to 2022, she volunteered as a member of the board directors of the Afghan Refugee Solidarity Association (ARSA) based in Kayseri, Turkey. Currently, she is working part-time in the GIZ program at ARSA as a psychologist and consultant helping Persian speaking migrants and refugees in Turkey supported by the German Corporation for International Cooperation.
