Anna is a PhD Candidate in Social Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Social Policy and Practice. Her research interests draw from critical migration theories and phenomenological methods to understand forced migrants’ experiences with migration legal regimes and formal institutions and bureaucracies that shape their lives. Her research particularly focuses on Syrian refugees and immigrants in the US.
